Over the month of July, Orange County lost 1,600 jobs with the following sectors recording the biggest changes: Government (-1,900); Education & Health Services (-1,800); and Trade, Transportation and Utilities (+1,400). Over the last 12 months, Orange County added 45,500 jobs. The County’s unemployment rate increased to 4.3% from 4.2% the month prior, remaining lower than the California (6.2%) and national (5.5%) rates.
