Glass ceilings? Closed doors? Not at JLL. We recognize the success and achievements of the amazing women throughout our firm. In celebration of Women’s History Month, we’d like to highlight a few of the strong, smart, and ambitious women of JLL. We appreciate them not only this month, but every day. We hope they inspire you like they inspire us.

Meet Heather Frame
Heather works in the Irvine office and runs market operations for Orange County, Las Vegas and San Diego markets.

As a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up?
The President of the United States of course. At a young age, I learned from my parents that I could do anything and be anything I wanted to be.

How did you get into commercial real estate?
Like many, it was not planned. I majored in Public Relations, but found myself in the residential building industry boom after college. During the “great recession” I transitioned into manufacturing and then finally landed at JLL. Jessica Gillum, Vice President of Marketing, who I knew from our residential builder days gave me a call, talked to me about an open position and asked if I would be interested in joining the JLL team and 8 years later, here we are! It’s a great story of women supporting women in business.

What is a typical day for you?
Hair…on…fire…In addition to being a mom and a wife, I’m in operations so that means I wear a number of hats on a daily basis.

Who was the biggest influence in your life?
My family, from my parents and brother to my husband and kids, they make me a better person.

How do you measure success?
Balance, it’s all about balance.

How do you achieve work/life balance?
I work hard to stay balanced and some days I’m more successful at it than others, but luckily tomorrow is always a new day so if I fail, I just get up and try again.

How has JLL supported you as a woman in business?
JLL has many, many amazing women who are always willing to support, advise and cheer you on.

What advice would you give to young women who want to success in the workplace?
Be confident in who you are and what you stand for.

JLL has been named one of the Top Companies for Executive Women for third straight year by the National Association for Female Executives (NAFE). Read more.
